PERFORMANCY
Performancy was born from years in the rehearsal room, backstage hustle, & those quiet moments wondering, "Am I even doing this right?" Created by performing artist & arts educator Ameena Maria Khawaja, it’s a space built for performers who are ready to take their talent seriously, & who could use some real tools, structure, & support to do it. What started as a way to fill the gaps Ameena once felt in her own career has grown into something bigger: a resource hub, a mentor’s voice, & a creative companion for artists on the rise.
No. 01
Performancy exists because talent alone shouldn’t be the only thing carrying your career. We’re here for the performers who are ready to take things seriously but don’t want to feel overwhelmed, confused, or alone while doing it. Think of this as the support system we wish we had when we were starting out.
No. 02
Clear. Supportive. A little sparkly, but never fluff. We’re here to help you focus and feel legit without losing the joy or creativity that made you fall in love with performing in the first place. Less pressure, more progress.
No. 03
We make the career stuff less mysterious: audition prep bundles, branding tools, mindset support, and an upcoming membership that grows with you. Every resource is designed to give you clarity, confidence, and momentum without the burnout.
this was never just about me
I built what I couldn’t find when I was starting out: tools, mentorship, & a sense of direction. Because having talent doesn't mean you have a roadmap.
I didn’t start out with a clear plan. I just knew I loved performing. That love took me across genres & stages: classical cello, opera, musical theatre, even improv comedy. I trained, auditioned, & said yes to every wild opportunity that came my way (more on that later). Over time, those yeses led to places I never imagined: performing at the Grammys, touring with artists like ELO & Paul Anka, playing on The Tonight Show, stepping on stage at the Hollywood Bowl, joining Billie Eilish at Coachella, & beyond.
Performing shaped me. Mentoring gave me purpose.
But alongside the stage lights, I discovered I had a passion for more than just performing: teaching, mentoring, building programs that helped other artists find their footing. I worked with organizations like YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles), the Harmony Project, and El Sistema USA/Salinas. And in every setting, I kept meeting wildly talented young performers who just needed a little structure, a little strategy, & someone in their corner.
Now, I serve as Vice President of Education and Community Engagement at Pacific Symphony, where I lead programs that connect communities through the arts. And Performancy? It’s my personal response to everything I once needed & couldn’t find. It’s a space where tools, mentorship, & creative clarity come together, so you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
